Concrete Truck Overturn Closes Fork Creek Road; Partial Reopening Announced

UPDATE (9:20 p.m.): The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office stated that Fork Creek Road had been reopened on Thursday evening.

The Loudon County Sheriff’s Department reported that a section of a roadway was shut down on Thursday night following an incident where a cement mixer flipped over, leaving the operator with injuries.

Officials stated that the accident occurred on Fork Creek Road within the 17000 block. Personnel from the sheriff’s department, Loudoun County Fire and Rescue, the Philadelphia Fire Department, and Priority Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene.

A statement from the sheriff’s department also mentioned that the Tennessee Highway Patrol was conducting an investigation.

The motorist was transported to a nearby medical facility following the accident. Officials stated that the street shutdown will likely “continue for quite some time.”
