Florida Stuns No. 19 Ole Miss in SEC Clash
Liv McGill was the star of the night as she led Florida to a stunning 74-67 upset victory over No. 19 Ole Miss in Southeastern Conference (SEC) play on Thursday night at Gainesville, Fla. McGill showcased her all-around skills, scoring 28 points in total, with 19 of those coming in the first half. She also contributed eight assists and six rebounds, playing a pivotal role in the Gators’ win.
Laila Reynolds added 14 points for the Gators (17-13, 5-10 SEC), who secured their fourth win in the past six games. Florida’s performance was impressive, shooting an outstanding 59.1 percent from the field. They managed to lead by as many as 14 points, marking their first victory against a ranked team this season in nine opportunities.
On the other side, Tianna Thompson put up a career-high 25 points and seven 3-pointers for Ole Miss (21-9, 8-7). Cotie McMahon added 15 points, while Christeen Iwuala chipped in with 10. Despite their efforts, the Rebels have now lost three consecutive games and five of their last seven.
The game saw a dramatic shift in the fourth quarter when Ole Miss trailed by five points. Laila Reynolds made two key baskets, and Liv McGill hit a crucial three-pointer during a 9-0 run that extended the Gators’ lead to 65-51 with 6:08 remaining. Although the Rebels tried to close the gap, they couldn’t get any closer than five points in the final minutes.
UConn Dominates Georgetown in Big East Showdown
No. 1 UConn continued its unbeaten season with an 84-52 victory over Georgetown in Big East play at Hartford, Conn. Azzi Fudd was the standout player, scoring 24 points and adding four steals. Sarah Strong contributed 13 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists, while Ashlynn Shade added 12 points for the Huskies (30-0, 19-0 Big East).
UConn extended its dominance over Georgetown, securing its 42nd consecutive win against the Hoyas. The victory also marked coach Geno Auriemma’s 29th 30-win campaign. Summer Davis scored 12 points, and Khadee Hession added 11 for Georgetown (13-15, 6-13), but the Hoyas struggled offensively, shooting just 32% from the field, including 7 of 28 from beyond the arc.
LSU Defeats Tennessee in SEC Battle
Mikaylah Williams led the charge as LSU defeated Tennessee 89-73 in Southeastern Conference (SEC) action at Baton Rouge, La. Williams recorded 20 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. MiLaysia Fulwiley added 18 points, six rebounds, and four blocked shots off the bench, helping the Tigers secure their third straight win.
ZaKiyah Johnson had 14 points and eight rebounds, Grace Knox added 13 points and nine boards, and Flau’jae Johnson scored 10 points for LSU (25-4, 11-4 SEC). Jaida Civil scored 17 points off the bench for Tennessee (16-11, 8-7), which has now lost five straight games and eight of its last 10 contests. Nya Robertson and Talaysia Cooper each added 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the Volunteers.
Oklahoma Crushes Arkansas in SEC Matchup

Istanbulluoglu scored 18 points, while Berry added 13 off the bench. Tajianna Roberts had 12 points, and backup Reyna Scott chipped in with 10 for the Cardinals (25-5, 15-2 ACC), who won their fourth game in the past five contests.
Louisville led 36-24 at halftime, with their largest lead being 20 points. Talayah Walker scored 20 points for Georgia Tech (12-17, 7-10), which dropped its second straight game. The Yellow Jackets shot 38.3% from the field and committed 21 turnovers.
Kentucky Tops Auburn in SEC Encounter

Nyla Brooks scored 11 points off the bench for the Tar Heels (24-6, 13-4 ACC), who have won three straight games and 11 of their last 12 contests.
Ciera Toomey and Nyla Harris each scored 10 points for North Carolina, which shot an impressive 66.7% from 3-point range (16 of 24). Kymora Johnson scored 22 points, including five 3-pointers, for Virginia (19-9, 11-6), which had won four of its previous five games. Romi Levy added 15 points for the Cavaliers.
