Kevin’s educational journey began at Christ the King Primary School in Ovoko, Enugu State. For secondary education, he attended Ovoko Boys Secondary School before completing it at UNICEF Secondary School. Although intended as a government-sponsored school, it eventually became privately managed. After passing the West Africa Senior Secondary Examination, he enrolled at the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, where he earned a National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology and later a Higher National Diploma in Physics Electronics.
Early Interests and Social Media Beginnings
Kevin had a wide range of interests even before comedy took center stage. He was drawn to science and invention, initially thinking he might become a scientist. However, his natural sense of humor, love for performing, drawing, and acting also played a significant role in his early years. In secondary school, he performed at the assembly ground, and later at IMT, he served as the Director of Socials.
By his final year in school, he started painting and selling artworks on the street to support himself. After graduation, he moved to Ibadan for his National Youth Service Corps scheme and joined a skill acquisition programme in cinematography and video editing. He was already recording short videos and posting them on WhatsApp, though he wasn’t yet familiar with Instagram.
Career in Media and Content Creation
After the three-week orientation camp, he secured a job in Lagos through a friend, working as a cameraman, editor, and sometimes scriptwriter. The company operated under a one-man business model, allowing him to learn practically everything. This experience sharpened his production skills.
During this time, he created a comedy series called ‘Oga Landlord,’ which he posted on the company’s YouTube page. Later, he opened his own comedy page and started uploading content on both platforms. When the company stopped funding production, he focused on his own projects, shooting during weekends while maintaining a 9–5 job.
The Birth of Governor Amuneke
His first major character, Chief Amuneke, was created around 2018 or 2019. He aimed to grow his Facebook page before focusing on Instagram, which felt slower at the time. A video of his gained reposts from Tunde Ednut, marking a turning point. He realized this was what he truly wanted to do.
Initially, he was shooting music videos, hoping to become the next Clarence Peters. But after his video went viral, he decided to take content creation seriously, challenging himself to post five videos a week. Things picked up quickly, and when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, work paused, and he doubled down on content creation.
Eventually, he lost his job, but his online platforms started paying off. By 2021, Facebook monetized his page, and that became his full-time focus.
Inspiration and Message
Kevin credits divine inspiration for his type of content. He believes God sees people’s hearts. The turning point came during his wedding in Nsukka, Enugu, where many friends couldn’t attend due to insecurity. It made him question what he was doing with his platform—was it just about making people laugh or could he also use it for awareness?
He made a video addressing the governor politely, drawing attention to the killings. Instead of responding, the government dismissed the reports as propaganda and even started arresting people for posting about it. That made him realize how risky speaking up could be, so he decided to channel his message through comedy instead.
That’s how the Governor Amuneke character was born. He started creating skits where leaders downplayed serious issues, aiming to spark conversations about leadership, accountability, and empathy.

Collaboration plays a vital role in Kevin’s craft. It helps reach new audiences, as every creator has their own fan base. When collaborating, fans check out each other’s work, boosting visibility and strengthening the fan base.
He prefers collaborating with creators whose content aligns with his, delivering messages with depth. For instance, working with Eedris Abdulkareem added weight to the message, as he is known for speaking out against bad governance.

Kevin loves talking to friends and family, finding relaxation in conversations that make him happy. Even when resting, he jots ideas, takes notes, or edits for fun. He also makes time to play games and hang out.
