China has slapped retaliatory tariffs on US goods after the deadline for Donald Trump’s tariffs has come and gone at the stroke of midnight.
China’s Finance Ministry announced it will impose extra tariffs of up to 15% on some US goods from March 10.
It will slap 15 per cent tariffs on American chicken, wheat, corn and cotton.
Ten percent tariffs will be imposed on a range of other goods.
