Georgia High School Football Top 25 State Rankings – Week 2

After two weeks of the Georgia high school football season, the state rankings have seen some dramatic shifts. While the top four teams remained unchanged, several programs climbed or dropped in the standings following last week’s games.

One of the most significant movements came from McEachern, which surged up 14 spots to No. 10 after a dominant 21-0 shutout of then-No. 6 North Cobb. This victory marked a major turnaround for the Indians, who now sit at 2-0 on the season.

Here’s a breakdown of how the Top 25 in Georgia shook out this week:

1. Grayson (2-0)

Grayson maintained its position at the top of the rankings after defeating Rabun Gap-Nacoochee 24-19 in a tightly contested game. The Rams are off to a strong start with a perfect 2-0 record.

2. Buford (2-0)

Buford continued its dominance with a convincing 42-14 win over Benedictine. The Wolves showed improved performance in their rematch against the Cadets, securing another victory.

3. Milton (1-1)

Milton picked up its first win of the season by defeating First Academy 24-17. The Eagles were led by freshman quarterback Trey Hasan, who made a strong debut.
