What we’re giving (or hoping to get) this holiday season

You’ve opened the Advent calendar, which means your days of gift shopping are starting to be limited. Really stuck on something for that special someone? Not sure if you want to spend $10 or $4,000? (We’ve got something for either end of that spectrum, don’t worry.) PasarModern.comeditors rounded up a list of gifts that have come across our desks that we think are a great find for pretty much anyone on your list. Start shopping before you have to shell out for rush shipping!

Mahjong Line Travel Set

Alex Apatoff, Managing Editor, Special Integrated Products: If you, like thousands of other millennial women, have become addicted to Mahjong in 2025 — and can’t bear the thought of being away from your regular game for even one week — this is a stylish, lightweight and durable travel set that also cleverly incorporates the suit into the number for maximum readability. (Or for a friend you’re trying to convince to get into the game with you, Play Mahjong! — by Mahjong Society founder Alyssa Gross — is a fun stocking stuffer!)

The Benny Bracelet by Raine Jewelry

Breanne L. Heldman, Executive Editor, TV, Events & Picks: I love the dainty look of a permanent bracelet, but sometimes I’m afraid to commit, so I’m obsessed with this delicate heart bracelet by Raine Jewelry. Throw in the fact that the design is a collaboration with Hallmark Channel favorite Nikki DeLoach, inspired by her son Bennett’s journey with congenital heart defects, and all proceeds for each piece sold go to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles — and you have yourself a dream gift.

Squishmallows Fragrance

Andrea Lavinthal, Executive Director, Special Integrated Projects: My six-year-old daughter happened to be looking over my shoulder when I opened the email pitching the new Squishmallows scents, and I’m sure you can guess what happened next. If you said, “ask for all of them,” you are correct! She now owns the trio of marshmallow-infused fragrances — Whisked Away for Cam the Cat, Pink Possibilities for Patty the Cow, and Moonlit Mist for Zumirez the Bat — and loves showing off the adorable bottles when friends come over for a playdate. My only rule is that they limit themselves to one spritz each, because as delicious as these scents are, it’s far too easy for the perfumes’ target audience to go overboard.

Ormonde Jayne Vanilla Mistral Perfume

Kirsty Hatcher, Associate Editor, News Team: If you or a loved one are looking for a fresh scent for 2026, Ormonde Jayne’s new Vanilla Mistral perfume may be just the thing. With notes of cardamom, black pepper, vanilla and fig, I love how just a few spritzes can have you imagining you’re in the Mediterranean. And if you like a celeb-approved product, then Minka Kelly, Goldie Hawn and Valerie Bertinelli are all fans of the London perfume house.

Guest in Residence Gloves

Alex Apatoff, Managing Editor, Special Integrated Projects: Gigi Hadid has many, many celeb fans of her low-key-cool cashmere line (Taylor Swift just wore a sweater to a Chiefs game!). If you’re not on a Swift-ian budget, these classic gloves with a little extra panache are a great way to sample the brand and add some affordable luxury to your life.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa Gift Set

Andrea Lavinthal, Executive Director, Special Integrated Projects:  My husband asked me what I want for Hanukkah this year, and I said to go back to The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. “Again?” he said. “Again,” I said. We’ve been there four times — twice as a couple and twice with the kids — and each trip was better than the last. The beach is postcard-perfect (white sand, turquoise water, killer sunsets), the food is incredible (not to mention the 10/10 margaritas), and the staff goes above and beyond in every way (shoutout to Florin, Priyanka, Sabou, and the Club Lounge team!).

And as if all of that weren’t reason enough to make a return visit, the spa — one of my favorites — just reopened after a massive renovation. It now features 16 treatment rooms and a hydrotherapy space with four cold-plunge pools, plus all the massage tables incorporate vibroacoustic technology to enhance relaxation.

One thing that hasn’t changed is The Ritz-Carlton’s signature spa robe and slippers, which would make a great gift (along with two tickets to paradise).

Cirkul Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Ariel Nagi, Associate Director of Audience Engagement: If you’re someone who loves staying on top of your daily water intake, Cirkul is a great option. The bottles feature built-in flavor cartridges, which are perfect for anyone who doesn’t always enjoy plain water. You can adjust the flavor intensity or turn it off entirely. My favorite so far is Island Punch, and my kids love the bottles and flavors too.

Tequila Corralejo Reposado Gift Set

Buy Now for $33

Melody Chiu, Executive Editorial Director: This gift set is the perfect present to bring to the many, many holiday parties you’ll be attending throughout the season. It’s beautifully packaged (save on wrapping paper?) and can be cracked open as soon as you arrive! Shot glasses included, of course.

Mitchell Ukulele

Alex Apatoff, Managing Editor, Special Integrated Projects: My kids have gotten really into music lately, for better (Nirvana!) or for worse (Linkin Park!), and with that has come interest in learning instruments. My older son is great on drums, and I’d like to start the younger one on a string instrument — like this cute ukulele — to encourage his interest. (Though let’s be honest, my husband is going to pick this up once and never put it down.)

Janie and Jack Holiday Pajamas

Alex Apatoff, Managing Editor, Special Integrated Projects: We’re a two-holiday family and I’m picky about my kids’ clothes, so it’s not always easy to get that perfect matching family PJ pic. This understated wintry print is exactly what I was looking for, so I’ll throw enough for my kids and nieces into my cart (with the other holiday clothes, winter break swimsuits and even a couple toys — did you know Janie and Jack has a really cute selection?) to open on the first night of Hanukkah.

Joe’s Cardigan

Andrea Lavinthal, Executive Director, Special Integrated Projects: In addition to their fantastic denim assortment, Joe’s has some great knitwear, including funnel-neck styles, cashmere polos and oversized cardigans like this cozy argyle-print style, which I’m buying for myself and my sister-in-law.

BONJIL Aesthetic Alcove

Andrea Lavinthal, Executive Director, Special Integrated Projects: If you’re into luxury skincare and just won the lottery, I have the perfect gift for you. I was recently introduced to Bonjil, a Korean-founded skincare brand that uses high-performance ingredients like marine collagen, French caviar extract, and probiotic ferments. But what makes the brand truly unique is its focus on creating an incredible sensorial experience. Everything smells beautiful and feels amazing on your skin. They even found a way to make the products sound good with their signature lacquered music boxes, which come stocked with the skincare regimen of your choosing and feature both a classic music-box mechanism and a Bluetooth speaker, so you can listen to whatever you’re in the mood for while you go through your routine for a self-care moment that’s truly next level.

Dagne Dover Convertible Duffel

Alex Apatoff, Managing Editor, Special Integrated Projects: I finally converted to the “backpack is best” theory of airport travel after resisting for many years. But I don’t necessarily want to look like I’m headed for class once I’m off the plane. This clever Dagne Dover design is both a stylish weekender and a practical pack thanks to the detachable straps; it also can hold a laptop, comes with a shoe bag and slips over your carryon handle. The reviews agree with me: This is a great gift for anyone.

The base is made of pure beeswax and coconut oil, and the scent is the perfect mix of warm spices, citrus and cedarwood. Grab a lighter — and a blanket — and let winter commence!

SeaVees Shoes

$150 Buy Now for $90

Melody Chiu, Executive Editorial Director: SeaVees makes the most comfortable everyday walking shoe. I’ve clocked a lot of miles in their sneakers, and not one pair needed any sort of breaking in. They’re incredibly durable — and while celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow are big fans, they come at affordable prices (especially when on sale!).

Camp Snap

Alex Apatoff, Managing Editor, Special Integrated Projects: Over the summer, I brought this to Italy as a gift for my own kids to snap photos of the sights without constantly having to hand them my phone, and it was a huge hit — both for the autonomy of them capturing images of whatever caught their curiosity, as well as the hilarity of “developing” the photos after the fact and seeing what made it. It’s now going to be my go-to for any kids in my life, who can snap 500 shots on a single charge and not get sucked into a screen.

Melody Chiu, Executive Editorial Director: From Crazy Rich Asians to Meghan Markle, mahjong is everywhere — which is really exciting, because it’s one of my family’s go-to holiday activities. The Bespoke’s gorgeous sets come with a bag and game mat, which are so pretty you may just want to keep it out all the time as decor.

Louis Vuitton Coffee Table Book

Michelle Lee, Style & Beauty Editorial Assistant: Fascinating history inside a beautiful book — what can be better? Inside From Louis to Vuitton (the latest from publisher Assouline) are 406 pages chronicling the history of Louis Vuitton. That is, if you can get past the gorgeous checkered exterior, which looks great on any coffee table or book shelf.

Sezane Beanie and Hat Combo

Alex Apatoff, Managing Editor, Special Integrated Projects: I have a hard time narrowing down just one thing from this feminine French brand, so my recommendation would be a gift card so she can splurge on the style she likes. But if you love to see someone unwrap a gift, this beanie-and-scarf set (made from soft baby alpaca wool) is sure to please, and comes in three pretty shades.

Le Labo Candle

Michelle Lee, Style & Beauty Editorial Assistant: There’s tons of eye-catching gifts to choose from in Saks Fifth Avenue’s Holiday Gift Guide Shop, but you really can’t go wrong with a classic candle, like this one from Le Labo. I myself was gifted one of these and it’s remained on my work desk ever since. It really is the little things that help you stay grounded.
