Popstar Sabrina Carpenter has praised Irish people whom she met during her time in Ireland.

During her second show yesterday, she described Irish people as “charming” and “sweet”.
“The people that I’ve met here have just been so lovely and sweet and funny and charming and I don’t know half of what they’re saying but I really enjoy them,” she told the crowd.

“See, you can’t say ‘craic’ in America, it means something else. So I’m really happy that you guys have a nice, pure meaning for it here.
“I’m just so thrilled to have each and every one of you come here tonight and be with us and sing with us,” she told the audience.
The 25-year-old star also shared that she has never had a pint of Guinness.
“I’ve actually never tried it. Are you booing? I’m not encouraging alcohol, you should be cheering. I guess not in Ireland, right?” she said, before adding she’ll “try it later”.

The song is believed to be written about her ex-boyfriend, Irish actor Barry Keoghan (32), who has also starred in the song’s music video.
The couple started dating at the end of 2023 and had reportedly decided to split in December 2024.
Today, Carpenter will perform in Birmingham to begin touring the UK.
The European leg of her tour will then finish up in June, with the singer kicking off the North American leg in Pittsburgh in October.
