A senior adviser to Donald Trump has threatened to redraw the U.S.-Canada border, according to a report by British newspaper The Telegraph.
Peter Navarro, who officially served as President Donald Trump’s senior counselor for trade and manufacturing, is reportedly considering revising the border with Canada amid worsening diplomatic relations following the imposition of a 25% tariff on all Canadian exports.
“Navarro recommended revising the Canada-U.S. border, which is just crazy and dangerous,” a source told the British news outlet.
The report also states that Peter Navarro instructed U.S. diplomats to work with their Canadian counterparts to review the existing border.
Sources further indicated that Peter Navarro’s close relationship with Donald Trump made him virtually untouchable.
