The U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office will help finance the construction of up to six projects to produce and liquefy zero- or low-carbon hydrogen on a large scale.
The company stated that its green hydrogen plant in Graham, Texas, will be the first facility to benefit from the funding provided; the plant will be powered by a nearby wind farm, and will utilize electrolyzer stacks manufactured at its factory in Rochester, New York, in addition to liquefaction and storage systems built at its facility in Houston.
We are motivated by a desire to service the environment as well as promote economic opportunity.
The company’s current hydrogen production network, with facilities in Georgia, Tennessee, and Louisiana, has a liquid hydrogen production capacity of around 45 tons per day.
