Legal papers and courtroom declarations indicate that Ogman has held a leadership position within the Grape Street Crips, a dangerous group operating out of New Haven. He faced arrest from the FBI in 2012 due to his involvement with this gang, which included charges related to narcotics trafficking.

Following his admission of guilt to several drug-related crimes, Ogman received a sentence of 15 years and eight months behind bars along with five years of probationary supervision starting from March 10, 2015.

In August 2022, a federal judge approved Ogman’s request for compassionate release and shortened his prison term to the time he had already spent incarcerated. Following this decision, Ogman was freed from jail.

The prosecutors demonstrated in court that Ogman continued to sell drugs even when he was under federal supervision, dispensing multicolored tablets laced with methamphetamine both within and near New Haven.

During the trial, investigators cited evidence including video surveillance, discarded items retrieved from garbage bins, and monitored buys of the tablets obtained from Ogman in March and April 2024.

On May 9, 2024, Ogman was taken into custody and has remained incarcerated ever since. During that same day, law enforcement conducted searches of both his property and home, where they discovered additional amounts of methamphetamine along with some crack cocaine.

According to prosecutors, Ogman admitted guilt to charges including one count of possessing and distributing methamphetamine, along with three counts of possessing and distributing fifty grams or more of methamphetamine. Additionally, he pled guilty to one count involving the possession of fifty grams or more of methamphetamine coupled with an unspecified amount of cocaine.

Ogman is scheduled to be sentenced on July 9. Given his previous conviction for a major drug offense, he might face imprisonment for as long as ten years. Additionally, he could incur further consequences for breaching the terms of his probation.
