Michigan’s Danny Wolf Pens Farewell Letter Following NBA Draft Choice

Hailing from Glencoe, Illinois, Danny Wolf’s rapid ascent in collegiate basketball started well before he played for Michigan.

Following his notable performance at Northfield Mount Hermon in Gill, Massachusetts, Wolf decided to commit to Yale after being designated as a three-star recruit.

During his tenure with the Bulldogs spanning two seasons, Wolf was honored with first-team All-Ivy League recognition and named the MVP of the Ivy League Tournament. He concluded the 2023-24 campaign averaging 14.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game, while maintaining a three-point shooting percentage above 34%.

In April 2024, he chose to bring his skills to Ann Arbor, Michigan.

After only one extended season with the Wolverines, Danny Wolf has declared that he will forego his remaining college eligibility and enter himself into the 2025 NBA Draft.

Michigan’s prominent 7-foot player played a key role in leading Michigan to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament and was also honored with Second-Team All-Big Ten recognition.

Wolf started in all 37 games with the Wolverines, averaging 13.2 points, a team-best 9.7 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game, catching the eyes of NBA scouts and draft analysts.

Throughout the season, Wolf’s unique skill set, combining the size and presence of a 7-footer with remarkable guard-like playmaking abilities, sparked conversations around the nation.

Even though he has some room for growth, particularly with his free throws and reducing turnovers, his presence on the court remained unmistakable.

Now, he’s prepared to display his varied abilities at the NBA level.

Analysts project him as a secure first-round pick, with many mock drafts hovering around the 20th to 25th overall selection.
