Kia
has presented a tougher concept edition of its Tasman pickup, named the Tasman Weekender (WKNDR), at the Seoul Motor Show in South Korea.
The pickup, marking Kia’s entry into this market sector last year, has been updated with an even more rugged appearance designed to boost its adventurous and assertive charm.
The aesthetic enhancements feature a broader frame, larger wheel arches, and striking lime green highlights that lend the vehicle a distinctive appearance. Additionally, the redesign encompasses bespoke front bumpers, elevated hoods, as well as rooftop carriers equipped with extra LED lighting fixtures and robust metal grips for transporting equipment. Furthermore, the installation of 35-inch off-road tyres not only elevates the truck but implies potential adjustments to its suspension system.

Even with extensive preparations for rugged terrains, the WKNDR won’t come equipped with an enhanced motor. Kia has dismissed the possibility of incorporating a V6 because of compliance issues, and it’s rumored they’ll maintain the same powertrain choices as the regular model—a 2.5-liter turbo petrol or a 2.2-liter turbodiesel.
