The
Golden State Warriors
tripped at home on Sunday evening against the
Houston Rockets
, and
Draymond Green was issued a flagrant foul.
At some point during the game, Green was heading towards the basket while being defended by Alperen Sengun. As he went up for the shot, part of his arm seemed to make contact with Sengun’s face. The collision did not appear intentional, though.
Green was still issued a flagrant foul.
The Rockets ultimately secured victory with a score of 106-96.
Draymond Green participated in recording an episode.

he wasn’t that upset
Regarding the call, however, the clarification provided was somewhat unclear.
The blatant foul didn’t exactly do me in,” Green confessed. “What did me in was the description.
This is what the referee stated after showing Green the flagrant foul card:
Upon reviewing, we find that Draymond uses velocity when making contact, which significantly affects Sengun’s head during his wind-up; this will result in a flagrant foul.
Green was fiercely making his way to the hoop, as he consistently does when approaching the basket. Everything shifted from that point onward.
I’m simply unsure about another approach to make the shot,” stated the four-time NBA champion. “Yes, things certainly shifted after that incident. Our momentum took a hit, and we lacked the energy reserves needed. The match against Denver was essentially predetermined as a loss. Despite returning from a two-week journey, we managed to dig deep and find a way to win that game. However, all those factors seemed to catch up with us during this latest encounter.
On Sunday evening, The Warriors exhausted their energy, yet Green generously praised the Rockets since they had an impressive performance.
Green commented, “They hit several crucial baskets. Jalen Green delivered an outstanding performance. As for Amen Thompson, he’s someone I truly admire; his athleticism is remarkable. His confidence seems to be growing with every match, making him essential to their team dynamics. Additionally, Sengun performed admirably, so they deserve recognition as well.”
It’s possible that these two squads could face off against each other during the playoffs. Such a matchup would be an exciting series, and Green believes the Warriors have good odds of winning.
“I’m excited about our prospects if we face this team during the playoffs, though they certainly put up a good fight against us,” Green concluded.
Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors have only four regular-season games remaining, each of which will be critical. Depending on their performance, they might secure the third seed in the Western Conference standings, or fall back to the eighth spot, potentially having to compete in the play-in tournament. Currently, teams ranked fifth through eighth in the West share identical records at 46 wins and 32 losses.
