fans.

and an even fluffier bun.

Fear not: it’s still grilled on real flames, paired with a brand-new glazed and fluffier sesame bun alongside fresh tomatoes and onions.

What’s more, the meat is still 100% British and Irish and has an ‘improved texture’ for even more juiciness. Sounds delish.

After listening to customers and conducting countless research over the years, the brand was inspired to deliver an ‘even better’ food experience for dedicated Whopper fans.

, the brand is planning to make changes to other areas of the menu too, but as a fan favourite, the Whopper was always an ‘absolute priority.’

‘We’re confident that those who rate the Whopper® so highly will enjoy it even more now,’ he notes, adding that it’s lost ‘none of the iconic flame-grilled taste.’

It’s good news for the wallet too, as the price will remain exactly the same as it was before (£6.22 for a regular, £7.72 for a double and £6.12 for a plant-based).

While the plant-based patty itself isn’t changing, all of the other elements will be tweaked in line with the classic Whopper, including the fluffier bun with the added glaze. Count us in.

Want to sample one completely free of charge? To mark the change, Burger King is allowing burger fans access to a flame-grilled Whopper on March 5 – at absolutely no cost.

Simply download the Burger King UK app to claim one, or enjoy it from the comfort of your own home when spending a minimum of £20 with Burger King on UberEATS (exclusively on Whopper Day, that is).

You’ll need to get in there quickly though, as the offer is only available until 8pm. Just remember to set your alarm.

‘We know our fans love the Whopper®, so we’ve been listening and taking on their feedback to make it taste better than ever,’ says Katie Evans, Burger King’s chief marketing officer.

‘And what better way to celebrate than with the return of Whopper® Day? Mark your calendars for March 5th, head to your local BK, and grab a free Whopper®.’
