Wendy’s began its Frosty flavor journey a few years ago with the introduction of its Strawberry Frost, which instantly became a fan-favorite. Now, the Columbus, Ohio-based chain is known for changing out its treat offerings for nearly every season.

Wendy’s Launches New Thin Mint Frosty
Wendy’s new Thin Mint Frosty is made with real Thin Mint cookies crafted into a minty-chocolatey swirl. The Thin Mint sauce, which adorns the side of the Frosty cup as well as the top of the treat, has a crumbly, cookie butter-esque texture to give you both the taste and iconic crunch of the Girl Scout cookie.
will stay on the menu for this launch.
To coincide with the 2025 Girl Scout cookie season, Wendy’s new Thin Mint Frosty will hit restaurants nationwide on Feb. 21 for a limited time. I tried Wendy’s Thin Mint Frosty—in both chocolate and vanilla varieties—early at the chain’s Columbus headquarters, here is my honest review.
My Honest Review
Before the social media speculation began, I was brought in on the new flavor launch with only three words: Thin Mint Frosty. I only knew the name and that the Frosty would include real Thin Mint cookie pieces. So, I, like the rest of the internet began wondering what a Thin Mint Frosty would be like.
—and let me be the first to say Wendy’s Thin Mint Frosty was even better than I could have imagined.
To start, it’s the first time the flavor is available in both chocolate and vanilla varieties, meaning Wendy’s will technically have four Frosty flavors at once in February. Wendy’s Global VP of Culinary Innovation, John Li, explained that they chose to do both a chocolate and vanilla flavor in hopes that customers will try both—and after I tried both, you absolutely need to.
Typically, I’m a Chocolate Frosty lover through and through (you can’t beat the OG), and the Thin Mint cookie butter adds a double-chocolate element that is extra decadent. Whereas, in the Vanilla Frosty, the Thin Mint cookie butter really has a chance to shine on its own—and shine it does.
sauce, add it to a Frosty, and you’ve got the perfect dessert.
flavors to its treat.
“[We asked the Girl Scouts] which of your iconic treats makes sense,” Li explained. “Easily, it was Thin Mints. They didn’t even have to think twice about it.”
But, Samoa, Tagalong, or Do-Si-Do lovers don’t fear. Li is always thinking ahead to what the next Frosty could be—and maybe a yearly Girl Scout collaboration is part of that seasonal rotation.
For now, however, you’ll want to get the Thin Mint Frosty while you can. No matter your expectations, you really can’t know what it’s like until you try the Thin Mint cookie butter sauce. And, once you do, I’m sure you’ll be asking Wendy’s what’s next in its dessert sauce journey, too.
